Scorpio Decanates: Unlock Hidden Secrets of Your Zodiac Sign!

Scorpio Decanates: Unlock Hidden Secrets of Your Zodiac Sign!

Okay, so the other day I got curious about “scorpio decanates.” I’d heard the term before, kinda floating around in astrology circles, but I never really dug into it. So, I decided to finally figure out what the heck it was all about.

First, I started with a quick search. I just wanted the basic definition, you know? Turns out, it’s about dividing each zodiac sign into three smaller sections, each ruled by a different planet. Each of these smaller sections are called decanates. Scorpio, being my own sign, felt like the natural place to focus.

My Deep Dive into Scorpio’s Three Parts

  • First Decan (October 23 – November 1): Ruled by Mars. These were my first ten days when I was born.
  • Second Decan (November 2 – November 11): Co-ruled by the Sun and Jupiter.
  • Third Decan (November 12 – November 21): Ruled by the Moon.

So, I grabbed my birth chart, which I’d gotten done online ages ago. It clearly showed my birthday, and I pinpointed where I fell within Scorpio. Boom, first decan, Mars ruled, I was born in the first 10 days!.

Then,I started looking at what each decan supposedly means. I have to be honest, I’ve got a soft spot for astrology, not that I believe in it, it’s just interesting to me, I guess.I read Mars-ruled Scorpios are supposed to be, like, extra intense, super passionate, and maybe a little… aggressive? I mean, I can be intense, sure, but aggressive? Not sure that’s quite me. It’s all more like entertainment, really.

I spent a good hour just comparing descriptions of the different Scorpio decans. It’s interesting how different they can seem, even though they’re all still “Scorpio.”The Moon-ruled one, for example, seemed way more emotional and intuitive. The descriptions didn’t always totally match my experience, but I found them helpful.

I jotted down some notes, just to keep track of what I was reading. It was mostly just for fun, a little self-exploration exercise. And hey, maybe it gave me a tiny bit more insight into myself. Or maybe not. It was just a fun little project for the afternoon!
