Okay, so, the other day I was diving deep into this whole astrology thing, you know, just for fun. And I stumbled upon this “Mars square Venus synastry” and I was like, “Whoa, what’s that?” So, naturally, I had to figure it out.
First, I grabbed my birth chart and my partner’s chart. I used one of free chart calculator. Inputting the birth dates, times, and locations, it’s pretty straightforward. Boom! Two charts, ready to go.
Digging into the Aspects
Next, I started looking for the symbols. You know, Mars is that little circle with the arrow pointing up, and Venus is the circle with the cross below it. The “square” part is a bit trickier, like an angle that show the difficult aspects. Anyway, I scanned both charts, trying to see if there was this square aspect between our Mars and Venus. Honestly, it took a few minutes of staring and double-checking, and cross-referencing different. I felt like I was decoding some ancient scroll.

- I highlighted Mars in my chart and then Venus in my partner’s.
- Then, I did the reverse, his Mars, my Venus.
- I used a protractor tool on the website just in case.
And there it was! A square. I could have just asked website to point this out, but I wanted to figure it out myself. It felt more… authentic, I guess. I confirmed the square by checking the degrees between the planets. They were pretty close to 90 degrees apart, which means, yep, it’s a square.
Making Sense of It All
So, what does this all mean? This where, you know, reading other’s experience came in. Apparently, Mars square Venus can mean some fiery passion, but also some potential for conflict. It’s like, intense attraction mixed with a bit of a power struggle. I thought about our relationship and, yeah, some of that resonated. We definitely have that spark, but we also butt heads sometimes. It was interesting to see it reflected in the stars, or, well, in the charts.
I jotted down some notes in my journal. It was a bit of a “huh, interesting” moment. I wouldn’t say it changed my life or anything, but it did give me another perspective. Another lens to look that makes me understand the whole process.
In the end, I felt like I’d learned something new, not just about astrology, but maybe a little bit about our relationship dynamics too. It’s all a bit woo-woo, I know, but it was a fun little experiment. Might do it again with some other aspects sometime.
