Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with numerology, specifically the number 14. I’ve heard a bit about it, but never really dived in, so I thought, “Why not?”
Getting Started
First, I needed to figure out what I was even doing. I grabbed a pen and paper – old school, I know – and started by writing down things related to the number 14. You know, just brainstorming whatever came to mind.
- My birthday (not the 14th, sadly).
- The number of steps to my mailbox.
- How many unread emails I had (way more than 14, unfortunately).
Basically, I was just trying to see if 14 popped up anywhere significant in my day-to-day.

The Deep Dive (Kind Of)
Next, I did some calculating. In numerology, you often reduce numbers down to single digits. So, for 14, you add 1 + 4, and you get 5. I scribbled that down – big ‘ol 5 next to the 14.
I spent a little while thinking about the number 5 too. Change, freedom, adventure… those are some of the things that supposedly resonate with it. I tried to connect those ideas back to the things I’d initially jotted down about the number 14.
My (Very) Amateur Conclusions
Honestly, I didn’t have any earth-shattering revelations. But it was interesting to play around with the numbers and see how they might relate to my life. I noticed that the number of letters of my given name and surname, added and reduced, also equals 5.
Maybe there’s something to this whole numerology thing, or maybe it’s just a fun way to spend an afternoon. I’m not sure, but I’m definitely going to keep playing around with it and see what else I might discover. It’s got me thinking, that’s for sure!
