Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into this whole “life path number” thing, and my number is 9. I kept seeing stuff about life path number 9 and money, so, naturally, I got curious. Does being a 9 mean I’m doomed to be broke? Or am I secretly a money magnet?
First, I calculated my life path number. Just to be sure. You know, add up all the digits in your birth date until you get a single digit. Mine definitely came out to 9.
My Experiment Begins
I decided to track my spending and income for a month. Just a simple spreadsheet, nothing fancy. I wanted to see if there were any patterns, anything that screamed “life path number 9” at me.

- Week 1: Noticed I was spending a lot on, like, random acts of kindness. Buying coffee for the person behind me, donating to a GoFundMe… Is this a 9 thing? I wasn’t sure.
- Week 2: Got a small, unexpected freelance gig. Huh. Maybe the universe is rewarding my generosity? Or maybe it’s just coincidence.
- Week 3: Felt this urge to, like, invest in something “meaningful.” I researched some ethical investment funds. Didn’t actually invest yet, just…thinking about it.
- Week 4: Ended the month with slightly more money than I started with, even with the random spending. Weird.
My “Aha!” Moment (Maybe)
It’s not like I suddenly became a millionaire. But I realized something. This whole life path number 9 and money thing, for me, it’s less about having tons of money and more about how I use it. I felt way more satisfied spending a little on something that felt good, something that helped someone, than I did buying, like, a new pair of shoes.
I continued tracking, but with a different focus. Instead of just amounts, I started jotting down how each transaction felt. Did it feel aligned with my values? Did it make me feel expansive or constricted?
I also started paying attention to my income. I noticed I was attracting opportunities that, while maybe not the highest paying, felt really good. Projects that aligned with my passions, clients who were awesome to work with.
The Verdict (So Far)
So, is life path number 9 a guarantee of riches? Nope. But for me, it’s been a reminder to focus on the flow of money, both in and out. To use it in ways that feel good, that feel aligned with who I am. And honestly, that feels way more valuable than any number in my bank account.
I think that what I am doing is try to be in tune with something and make me feel better, I’ll probably stick with this method.
