Okay, here’s my blog post about Dragon and Rat compatibility, written in a casual, personal style:
So, the other day, I got really into this whole Chinese zodiac compatibility thing. Don’t ask me why, I just fell down a rabbit hole. I’m a Dragon, and I was curious about my compatibility with other signs, especially the Rat. I mean, a dragon and a rat? Sounds like a weird combo, right?
I started by, you know, just Googling around. I found tons of websites, some of them looking pretty… questionable. Like, flashing banners and weird fonts. But I dug through them anyway, trying to find some common threads.

My Deep Dive (aka Googling Spree)
The first thing I did was find all the stuff that talked about Dragon and Rat compatibility. I used my own birth date and start figuring out from websites.
- I made a note of all the points of view.
- I kept it all into my personal not and filter it.
- And discard some of the useless info.
Then I started to filter all these information I’d got, find out something really made me interesting.
Making Sense of It All
After spending, I will not tell how much time on this, I realized there was a lot of conflicting information. Some sites said Dragons and Rats were a match made in heaven, others were like, “Eh, it’s okay.” So, I decided to do my own little “experiment.”
I started thinking about the Rats I know in my life – friends, family, exes (yeah, I went there). I tried to be objective, which is hard when you’re thinking about your own relationships, you know? I jotted down notes about how we interacted, the good and the bad. Did the zodiac stuff line up with reality, even a little bit?
Then, I filtered my note and sort out those were a rat and I could related with some of the infomation on the web.
It’s still something in progress, I just want to record everthing I did down, and get an overview of what I’ve got.
My (Very Unscientific) Conclusion
Okay, so I’m not going to say I’m an expert now. But, from my very limited, totally unscientific “research,” I’d say the Dragon-Rat thing… might have some truth to it? At least in my experience, there was a certain… spark… with some of the Rats I’ve known. A kind of understanding, you know? But also, some definite clashes. It wasn’t all smooth sailing.
I think the biggest takeaway for me was that it’s all just for fun. Zodiac compatibility is interesting to think about, but it’s not going to make or break a relationship. It’s more about understanding different personality types and how they might interact. And honestly, sometimes it’s just entertaining to see if the stereotypes hold up!

I’m going to keep adding to my notes, because, why not? It’s kind of become my new obsession. Maybe I’ll even try charting out compatibility with other signs… who knows? Stay tuned!
