Okay, here’s my take on a blog post about “year 2 personal year”, written in a casual, conversational style, and focused on my personal experience:
So, I kinda stumbled into this whole “personal year” thing. Last year, I did a deep dive into figuring out my Life Path Number (which, turns out, is a whole other rabbit hole). But THEN, I discovered that on top of your Life Path, you also have a “Personal Year” number. It’s supposed to give you a vibe for the, well, year.
Year 1, last year for me, was all about new beginnings. Which, honestly, felt pretty spot-on. I started a new job, picked up a couple of new hobbies – it was a whirlwind of fresh starts.

Figuring Out This Year’s Number
This year, I’m in a “Year 2” personal year. To get here, I followed very simple steps.
- First I added together the month and day of my birth.
- Then, I added that number to the current year, 2024 in this instance.
- If the result was a double-digit number, I added those digits until I got a single-digit from 1-9.
And that single digit number is the “Personal Year” number. Pretty simple, right?
What Does Year 2 Even Mean?
From what I’ve read, Year 2 is all about relationships, patience, and cooperation. It’s less about doing and more about connecting. Think building bridges, not blazing trails. Less “me,” more “we.” You know?
At first, I was like, “Ugh, patience? Really?” I’m more of a “let’s get this done NOW” kind of person. But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense.
I started paying more attention to how I interact with people. I tried to be a better listener (still working on that, haha). I focused on teamwork at my job, instead of just trying to power through everything myself.
It’s been…interesting. I’ve definitely noticed I’m more aware of other people’s feelings. I’m making a conscious effort to be more supportive and understanding, even when I’m, like, totally sure I’m right (which is always, obviously).
There have been a few bumps. Like, I had to deal with a couple of tricky situations with friends. Instead of my usual “fix it” mode, I tried to just be there for them. It felt weird at first, not jumping in with solutions, but it actually seemed to help more.
The “cooperation” part has been surprisingly rewarding. I volunteered for a project at work that involved collaborating with a bunch of different departments. It was a bit chaotic, but I learned a ton, and we actually pulled it off!

So, am I a totally transformed, patient, perfectly cooperative human being now? Nope. Not even close. But I’m trying. And I think that’s the point. This whole “Personal Year” thing isn’t about magic, it’s about intention. It’s about setting a direction and seeing where it takes you.
I do think my relationships with friends are stronger, and I’m feeling more connected to my colleagues. I’m able to approach problems with greater patience than usual.
I’ll keep you posted on how the rest of this Year 2 unfolds. Maybe I’ll even become a patience guru by December. (Doubtful, but a girl can dream!)
