Okay, so, the other day I was messing around with synastry charts, you know, checking out the compatibility between me and, well, someone. And I noticed this “Sun conjunct Mercury” thing. I’d seen it before, but never really dug into it. So, I decided to, like, actually do something about it this time.
First, I pulled up our charts. I use this, like, super basic website. Nothing fancy. Just needed the birth dates, times, and locations. Boom. Charts generated.
The Deep Dive Begins
Then, I started googling “sun conjunct mercury synastry”. It’s funny you will find a bunch of stuff, you konw, some of that astrology talk. Made my head spin a little, not gonna lie.

I filtered through it, though. I looked for the stuff that seemed, you know, real. I was focusing on what that aspect might mean in an every day, I mean, I’m a practical person.
I noticed a few key things that kept popping up, the most impressive thing is about communication and intellectual connection. I was like, “Okay, that makes sense…” I could totally see how that would play out, for better or worse!
Experiment time
So, I decided to pay extra attention to our conversations. I wasn’t going to change anything, just…observe. I wanted to see if this “heightened communication” thing was actually, you know, a thing.
And…it kind of was! I noticed we were finishing each other’s sentences more often. I felt like we were just getting each other on a different level. It was subtle, but it was there.
- I will ask some questions that were easy for others to answer.
- I observed his reaction when he answers my questions.
- I record what he said.
I also noticed that we were having more, like, intense discussions. Not arguments, just…deeper conversations. We were bouncing ideas off each other, really digging into things. It was actually pretty cool.
Now, I’m not saying this one aspect is the be-all and end-all of, compatibility. But, it definitely added another layer to understanding the dynamic. It’s like, “Oh, that’s why we click like that!”
I still got a lot more to explore, and to see how this plays out long-term. But, for now, it was a fun little experiment. Definitely gave me some food for thought.
