Okay, so today I really got into this whole “transiting Mars square Saturn” thing. It’s supposed to be a challenging aspect, and boy, did I feel that!
Getting Started
I started my day like any other, made some coffee, checked my emails… and then I noticed this heavy feeling. Like something was just…off. I remembered reading about the Mars-Saturn square and thought, “Oh great, here we go.”
The Thick of It
- First, I tried to tackle a project I’d been putting off. Big mistake. Everything that could go wrong, did. Files got corrupted, the internet went down, I even spilled coffee on my notes. It was a mess.
- Then, I attempted to have a constructive conversation with a colleague about a deadline. That went south quickly. We both ended up frustrated and it felt like we were talking in circles.
- Even simple things felt harder. I went to the gym, but my energy was totally zapped. I usually love working out, but today, it felt like a chore. Each rep was like lifting a ton of bricks, and I am a lazy guy who don’t like going to gym.
Finding a Way Through
After a few hours of feeling like I was banging my head against a wall, I decided to change my approach. I realized I couldn’t force things. So, I did following things:

- I focused on small, manageable tasks. Instead of trying to conquer the world, I answered a few emails, organized my desk, and made a to-do list for tomorrow.
- I took a break. I stepped away from my computer, made some tea, and just breathed for a few minutes.
- I practiced some serious self-compassion. I reminded myself that it’s okay to have an off day, and that this challenging energy won’t last forever.
End of day
I find it is so important to be aware of the energies at play, but also to remember that we have the power to choose how we respond. Today, that meant accepting limitations, slowing down, and being kind to myself.
