Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into tarot lately, and I got really curious about how the cards connect with astrology. I mean, they both feel super symbolic, right? So, I started with the Queen of Wands, because, well, she’s a fiery queen! I wanted to figure out which zodiac sign she vibes with the most.
I started by grabbing my trusty tarot deck and pulling out the Queen of Wands. I looked at her, you know, really looked at her. That confident posture, the sunflower, the lion symbols…it all screamed “fire sign” to me.
Then I hit the books – well, the internet, really. I started searching for “Queen of Wands zodiac” and a bunch of stuff popped up. Some sources said Aries, some said Leo, and some even suggested Sagittarius. It was a bit of a mess!

So, I decided to break it down myself. I made a little list of the qualities of each of those fire signs:
- Aries: Bold, pioneering, a bit impulsive.
- Leo: Confident, generous, loves the spotlight.
- Sagittarius: Adventurous, optimistic, always seeking knowledge.
I compared these to what I knew about the Queen of Wands. She’s definitely bold and confident like an Aries, but she also has that regal, generous vibe of a Leo. The Sagittarius connection was a bit weaker for me, she doesn’t necessarily feel like someone who’s always on a quest, at least for me.
I then decided to look into what the imagery is all about. I pulled out my notebook and wrote down notes.
Visual Research
- The cat: I saw that the cat represents independence and intuition.
- Sunflower:Sunflowers represent pure joy and happiness.
- Wands:Wands are creative energy.
So, after all this digging, I’m leaning towards the Queen of Wands being most closely associated with Leo. She just embodies that warm, radiant energy. But, I also think there’s a strong Aries influence there too. It’s like she’s a Leo with a dash of Aries spice!
Honestly, it’s probably not a perfect one-to-one match. I think the tarot is more about archetypes than strict zodiac signs. But it was a fun exercise to explore the connections! And I think better understanding will deepen my own intuition the next time I draw the Queen of Wands, which is what the end goal of my exploration was.
