Okay, here’s my blog post about “The Tower as Intentions,” written from my personal experience:
So, I’ve been messing around with tarot again, trying to get a better handle on how the cards can represent, you know, what I intend to do, not just what might happen. Today, I focused on The Tower, which usually freaks people out. But I was like, “Okay, let’s see if this can be about my intentions, not just some random disaster.”
My Experiment with The Tower
First, I grabbed my deck and shuffled it a bunch, really trying to focus on my intentions for the day. I wasn’t thinking about big, life-altering stuff, just regular things. I laid out a simple three-card spread: past, present, future intentions. And guess what? The Tower popped up in the “present intentions” slot.

My initial reaction was, I admit, a little bit of “Uh-oh.” But then I took a deep breath and thought, “What am I actively trying to shake up right now?”
- I’ve been meaning to clean out my closet for, like, ever. It’s a total disaster zone.
- I also wanted to finally cancel that subscription I never use.
- And, on a slightly bigger scale, I’ve been planning to overhaul my workout routine.
See? Those are all things I was initiating. They’re disruptive, sure, but in a good way. They’re about tearing down old habits or structures to make way for something better.
I spent the day actually doing those things. The closet? Started tackling it. Subscription? Canceled. Workout? Did a totally different (and more intense) session. It felt…powerful, actually. Like I was taking The Tower’s energy and using it for my own good.
The Result
By the end of the day, I felt a sense of accomplishment. I took my intention and matched it with the energy the Tower represents.
So, my takeaway from this little experiment is that The Tower, as intentions, isn’t necessarily about something bad happening to you. It can be about you actively choosing to shake things up, to break down what’s not working, and to build something new. It’s about taking control of the chaos and using it to your advantage. Pretty cool, huh?
