Okay, so I’ve been messing around with tarot cards lately, just for fun, you know? And I got curious about how different cards might represent how someone sees you. I decided to focus on “The Hermit” card and see what I could dig up.
First, I grabbed my favorite tarot deck – the one with the really pretty artwork. Then, I cleared a little space on my desk, lit a candle (because, ambiance!), and shuffled the cards while thinking about a specific person. I won’t say who, but let’s just say it’s someone I’ve been kinda wondering about.
After shuffling, I pulled a single card, face down. I took a deep breath and flipped it over. Boom! The Hermit.

My initial reaction? Honestly, I was a little confused. The Hermit? That dude’s all about being alone, introspection, and all that jazz. Did this person see me as a loner? A recluse?
So, I hit up the internet. I read through a bunch of different interpretations of The Hermit, especially in the context of how someone perceives you. It wasn’t all about being a social outcast, thankfully.
Here’s what I pieced together from my “research”:
- Wise/Intelligent: This person might see me as someone who has a lot of knowledge or inner wisdom. Maybe they think I’m thoughtful and insightful.
- Introspective: They could perceive me as someone who spends a lot of time reflecting on things, maybe a bit of a deep thinker.
- Independent: This was a big one. The Hermit is all about self-reliance. So, they might see me as someone who can handle things on their own, who doesn’t need a lot of external validation.
- Seeking Solitude:
It might means I enjoy taking time and space.
- Guiding Light: In some interpretations, The Hermit can be seen as a guide or mentor. Maybe this person sees me as someone they could learn from.
After going through all of this, I sat back and thought about it. It actually made a lot of sense! I do tend to be pretty independent, and I definitely value my alone time for thinking and recharging. And yeah, maybe I do come across as a bit wise sometimes… or at least, I try to!
I don’t think this person sees me that I am a complete hermit.
It was a cool little experiment. It gave me a different perspective on how I might be perceived, and it was fun to play around with the tarot cards in a new way. I might try this again with some other cards and see what I discover!
