Okay, so today I wanted to try something different with my tarot cards. I’ve been feeling a bit stuck lately, like I’m not sure where I’m going with things, especially when it comes to my long-term goals and finances. So, I decided to do a reading specifically asking for advice, focusing on the Ten of Pentacles.
My Little Experiment
First, I shuffled my deck as usual, you know, really getting my energy into the cards. I laid out a simple three-card spread – past, present, and future – but I was really concentrating on what the Ten of Pentacles would tell me if it showed up, I need some clear advice.
And guess what? It didn’t show up in those first three positions. I felt a little disappointed, but then I thought, “Wait a minute, I’m asking for advice related to the Ten of Pentacles, so maybe it’s showing up differently.”

- Past: The Two of Wands. Okay, this makes sense. It’s all about planning and looking ahead, which I definitely did a lot of before.
- Present: The Knight of Cups. Hmm, interesting. This is about following your heart and pursuing your passions. I do be that.
- Future: The Six of Swords. Okay, moving towards calmer waters, leaving behind difficulties. Hopefully!
The “Advice” Part
Since the Ten of Pentacles itself wasn’t there, I decided to look at the surrounding cards for clues about how to achieve that Ten of Pentacles energy. I wanna know what the card advises me.
Because, The Two of Wands (past) is talking about making solid plans. The Knight of Cups (present) is urging me to follow my intuition and creative impulses. And the Six of Swords (future) suggests that by combining careful planning with passionate action, I can move towards a more stable and secure future. I accepted that.
Putting It All Together
I realized The Ten of Pentacles wasn’t a specific outcome in this reading, but rather the goal.
The advice, then, is to blend those other energies: Plan strategically (Two of Wands), follow my heart (Knight of Cups), and I’ll move towards the stability and abundance represented by the Ten of Pentacles (with the help of Six of Swords). It’s about the journey, not just the destination, I think.
So, that was my little tarot experiment for today. I found it pretty helpful, actually. It gave me a new perspective on my situation and reminded me that sometimes the advice we seek is hidden in the connections between the cards, not just in one single card itself. It’s all about seeing the bigger picture. I will do more readings like this!
