Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Tarot lately, and I wanted to share a little experiment I did with the Two of Wands, specifically using it for advice. I was feeling kinda stuck, you know, that feeling like you’re at a crossroads and not sure which way to go? So, I figured, why not let the cards guide me a bit?
I started by shuffling my deck, really focusing on the general feeling of being unsure. I wasn’t asking a specific question, more like, “What do I need to know about this indecisiveness?” Then, I cut the deck and flipped over the top card… Two of Wands.
Initially, I was like, “Okay, cool picture, but what does it mean?” I grabbed my trusty guidebook (yeah, I’m still learning!) and read up on it. It talked about planning, making decisions, and having the courage to step into the unknown. It also mentioned exploring different possibilities.
So, here’s what I did. Instead of trying to force a decision, I decided to embrace the “exploration” part. I had two main paths I was considering – let’s call them Option A and Option B.
My Two-Wands-Inspired Process:
- Brainstormed like crazy. I wrote down every single pro and con I could think of for both Option A and Option B. No judgment, just getting it all out on paper.
- Talked it out. I chatted with a couple of trusted friends, not to get their advice, but just to verbalize my thoughts and see how they sounded out loud.
- Visualized the future. I spent some time each day just imagining myself having chosen each path. What did my day-to-day life look like? How did I feel?
- Tried a “test run”. For me this looks like trying out new tasks.
The Two of Wands didn’t magically make the decision for me. But it gave me a framework. It helped me shift my mindset from “I need to pick the right path” to “Let’s explore these paths and see what feels right.” And that made all the difference.
