Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole “July 9th birthday personality” thing. It’s kinda interesting, and I figured I’d jot down my thoughts and what I’ve been doing to figure it all out.
First off, I started by, well, just thinking about people I know born on July 9th. There’s my cousin, Sarah, and my old college buddy, Mike. They’re pretty different, but I guess that’s the point, right? Everyone’s unique, even with the same birthday.
Then I started hitting up the internet. I know, I know, not exactly groundbreaking research, but hey, it’s a start. I typed in “July 9 birthday personality” and, boom, tons of stuff came up. Mostly about zodiac signs, which, I gotta admit, I’m not super into. But some of it made sense.

A lot of the stuff I found talked about people born in July being all emotional and empathetic. Like, they’re supposed to be super in tune with other people’s feelings. That kinda fits Sarah. She’s always been the one to comfort people and give advice. I remember her being super supportive when I had some trouble at school. She always had something useful to offer me. Mike, not so much. He’s a great guy, don’t get me wrong, but he’s not exactly the touchy-feely type. So, already, I’m seeing that this isn’t a one-size-fits-all thing.
I also tried one of those personality tests, the Myers-Briggs thing. I had my friend, who is also a July 9th baby, take it. You know, the one that sorts you into one of 16 types? It was pretty interesting to see her results and then compare them to what I read about July 9th personalities. Again, some stuff lined up, some didn’t. She was typed as INFJ, which I learned was often referred to as “The Advocate”. It was interesting to see her nod in agreement when she read more about the characteristics of the INFJ personality type.
Digging Deeper into July
- Started reading about Cancer and Leo, the two zodiac signs for July. Apparently, if you’re born on the 9th, you’re a Cancer.
- Found some articles saying Cancers are supposed to be intuitive and imaginative.
- I’m thinking this whole birthday personality thing is more about general vibes than hard facts.
I spent a good chunk of time just reading through forums and comments where people were talking about their July birthdays. It was a mixed bag, but it was cool to see real people’s experiences. Some folks were saying they totally related to the whole emotional and caring thing. Others were like, “Nah, that’s not me at all.”
And then, because I’m a bit of a data nerd, I even made a little spreadsheet. Yeah, I went there. I listed out the traits I kept seeing for July 9th birthdays, and then I added columns for people I know who were born on that day. I put a checkmark if they seemed to fit the trait, and a question mark if I wasn’t sure. It was kinda messy, but it helped me visualize things.
In conclusion, I guess what I’m learning is that while these birthday personality things can be fun to explore, they’re not exactly scientific. It’s more like a starting point for thinking about yourself and the people you know. At least, that’s how I’m seeing it. It’s been a fun little project, though. Maybe I’ll try it with other birthdays, just for kicks. Maybe, next I’ll do my own birthday. Or, maybe not, I’m not sure I want to know what the internet thinks about my personality. It was a good experience though, and I thought it would be pretty fun to share.
