Okay, so I’ve been messing around with tarot cards for a while now, mostly just for fun and self-reflection. I’m no expert, but I enjoy the process of laying out the cards and seeing what kinda vibes they give off. Recently, I was curious about a particular, uh, situation in my love life, so I decided to do a simple three-card spread, and wouldn’t you know it, the 3 of Wands popped up as the outcome card.
First things first, my way into it.
- Set the mood, find a quiet place and get your favorite pen and notebook.
- Start with your own idea,I focus on what I really care about.
- Shuffle the cards,I take my time to mix cards and make some connections with them.
- Pick the cards,I put the cards in my own way.
So, here’s how it went down. I shuffled my deck, focusing on my question, which was pretty vague, something like, “What’s the potential outcome of this… connection I’m feeling?” Then I pulled three cards: one for the past, one for the present, and one for the future/outcome.

I can’t quite recall the first two cards that I got, but the last card, the outcome, that was the star, which really got me.
My Little Record
Now, from what I’ve gathered, the 3 of Wands is generally a pretty positive card. It usually shows up some kind of expansion, looking ahead, and maybe even a little bit of travel or long-distance stuff. In a love context, I’ve read that it can mean things are progressing, maybe moving from a casual thing to something more serious, or preparing for a bigger commitment, or perhaps overcoming some earlier uncertainties.I wrote it down in my notebook.
The past card:Something about past and beginning.
The present card:Something about current state.
The outcome card(3 of Wands):That is the point.
So, seeing the 3 of Wands as the outcome made me feel… hopeful, I guess? It felt like a confirmation that things were moving in a good direction, that there was potential for growth and a solid future. But also, with the imagery of the card – you know, the figure looking out at the ships – it made me think about the importance of patience. Like, the good stuff is coming, but it’s not going to magically appear overnight. It’s about keeping that forward-looking vision, and being open to the journey, even if it takes some time.
And I draw that card in my own way.
Of course, it’s just one card, and one reading. It’s not like it’s a guaranteed prediction or anything. But it did give me a sense of optimism and a reminder to stay present and enjoy the process, instead of getting too hung up on a specific outcome. It’s like, trust that things are unfolding as they should, and keep putting good energy into the situation.

Anyway, that’s my little tarot adventure with the 3 of Wands. It’ll be interesting to see how things actually play out, but for now, I’m feeling pretty good about it all. Tarot is a such tool for some sparking ideas!
