Okay, so I tried out this “Future Love” tarot spread thing today, and I gotta say, it was pretty interesting. I’ve been kinda curious about what’s in store for my love life, you know? So I figured, why not give this a shot?
First, I grabbed my trusty tarot deck – the one I’ve had for years. I cleared a space on my table, lit a candle (because ambiance, duh!), and shuffled the cards while focusing on my question: “What’s coming up for me in the love department?”
The Spread
This spread uses six cards, and I laid them out like this:

- Card 1: Me in the present moment – Where I’m at right now.
- Card 2: What I desire in love – What I’m really looking for.
- Card 3: What’s blocking me – What’s holding me back from finding love.
- Card 4: What’s coming towards me – Near-future energies.
- Card 5: What actions I can take- What will help, the advice.
- Card 6: Potential outcome – Where things could be headed.
I flipped over each card one by one, taking a moment to really look at the imagery and think about what it might mean.
For example, Card 3, the “blockage” card, was the Tower. That card can mean sudden change or upheaval. I interpreted that as maybe my fear of getting hurt again after my last relationship ended badly. It makes sense, I’ve been kinda hesitant to put myself out there.
Card 5, the “action” Card, I got the two of cups which represents a loving and balanced relationship. It gives me courage, and reminds me of taking positive action.
I won’t bore you with every single detail of my reading, but the overall message seemed to be that I need to work on letting go of past baggage and be more open to new possibilities. The “potential outcome” card was actually pretty positive – the Two of Cups, which is all about partnership and connection. That gave me some hope!
After I was done, I jotted down some notes in my journal about each card and how I felt about the reading overall. I think it’s good to reflect on this stuff, even if it’s just for fun. Whether you believe in tarot or not, it can be a cool way to get you thinking about your life and what you want.
So yeah, that was my little tarot experiment for the day. It definitely gave me some food for thought. Maybe I’ll try it again in a few months and see if anything has changed!
