Okay, so I’ve been seeing these feng shui crystal balls all over my feed, and I finally caved. I wanted to see if they actually do anything, you know? So, I got one. It’s pretty, I’ll give it that. Smooth, clear, feels kinda heavy in your hand.
Getting Started
First thing, I had to figure out where to even put this thing. I read somewhere that you gotta cleanse it first. Makes sense, I guess. Gotta get rid of any, like, leftover energy from whoever touched it before, right?
So, I ran it under some cold water, just from the tap. I visualized all the gunk washing away, all that old stuff going down the drain. I let it air dry on a clean cloth. Felt better already, even if it was just in my head.

Placement and Experimentation
Next up, placement. My place is tiny, so options were limited. I did some more reading and found something that you can put it in the center of your house or room for like, general good vibes.I settled on my little coffee table. It’s pretty much the center of my living room, which is basically my whole apartment. It has the window, so it gets good sunlight.
- Day 1: Honestly, didn’t notice much. Just looked nice, caught the light sometimes.
- Day 3: Okay, maybe I’m imagining things, but I felt a bit… calmer? Less stressed about work deadlines. Could be a coincidence.
- Day 7: I started doing this thing where I’d hold the ball for a few minutes in the morning, just focusing on what I wanted to get done that day. It’s kind of like a mini-meditation, I guess.
- Day10:I moved a small plant to put it next to the crystal ball.
Still Observing
I’ve had the crystal ball for a couple of weeks. I do not think it’s magical but, I have to say, I like having it around.
It is a good reminder to take a few deep breaths and all the stuff. I’ll keep messing around with it, maybe try different spots in my apartment. We’ll see what happens. I also consider buying another ball, a colorful one.
