Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “current relationship” tarot readings all over TikTok and I finally decided to give it a shot. I’m no expert, okay? I literally just got a new deck and thought it would be fun. I am not a professional reader!
First, I cleansed my space. I lit some incense – sandalwood, because why not? – and just kind of sat there for a minute, trying to clear my head. I’ve heard you’re supposed to do that. Then I shuffled the deck, a lot. Like, a lot a lot. I was trying to get my “energy” into the cards, I guess? I don’t know, it felt right.
The Spread
I decided on a simple three-card spread. Nothing fancy.

- Card 1: Represents the current state of the relationship.
- Card 2: Represents the challenges or obstacles.
- Card 3: Represents the potential outcome or advice.
I laid the cards out face down, then took a deep breath and flipped them over one by one.
Okay, so the first card was the Two of Cups. I googled it real quick (don’t judge!) and it seems to be a pretty good card – all about partnership, harmony, and connection. That seemed… promising, I guess. I was kinda relieved it wasn’t, like, the Tower or something.
The second card, the challenge card, was the Five of Pentacles. This one… not so great. Apparently, it represents financial struggles, hardship, and feeling left out in the cold. Honestly, that does kind of resonate. We’ve both been stressed about money lately, it’s been tight.
Finally, the third card, the potential outcome/advice card, was the Strength card. I’m familiar with this. The card’s meaning represents inner strength, courage, and compassion. Maybe it means we need to be strong for each other during this tough time, and rely on our inner… well, strength.
So, my very amateur interpretation? We’re in a good place overall, connected and all that, but money stress is a real issue. The advice seems to be to face it head-on with courage and support each other. Seems pretty straightforward, really.
It was actually a fun little experiment! I don’t know if I believe in this stuff 100%, but it was interesting to see how the cards kind of reflected what’s going on in my life. Maybe I’ll do it again sometime. Maybe with a more complicated spread… or maybe I’ll just stick to TikTok for now.
