Beginners Luck? Try a Three Card Tarot Reading at Our New Age Store.

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to set up this little online store, you know, a “new age” kind of vibe, selling tarot cards and stuff. I decided to start simple with just three-card tarot readings. Figured it’s a good way to, like, dip my toes in the water, right?

Getting Started

First things first, I needed some cards. I mean, duh. I already had my favorite deck, the one I always use for personal readings. It’s got this awesome energy, but I wanted something… different for the store. Something visually appealing, you know?

So I spent a good afternoon just browsing different decks online. Looked at, like, a million different art styles. Finally, I found this one deck – gorgeous watercolor illustrations, really dreamy and mystical. Perfect!

Setting Up Shop (Sort Of)

Next, I needed a place to actually sell these readings. I’m not super tech-savvy, so a whole website seemed… intimidating. Instead, I opted for a simple online form. You know, the kind where people can just put in their name, their question, and their email. Easy peasy.

I spent a few hours messing around with different form builders. I also added fields for a little more clarity. There is the name and question, sure, but also a field asking customers to choose their cards from a list. The images of each card are displayed and they can easily pick their three.

The Actual Reading Part

This is where it gets fun! Once someone fills out the form, I get a notification. Then, I sit down with the new deck, shuffle the cards, and focus on their question. I lay out three cards, just like I would for a regular reading. My customers can choose their cards before submiting their form, so I can see their choices and lay out the cards.

Then comes the interpretation. I look at the cards, think about their meanings, and how they relate to the question. I try to make it personal, not just some generic, copy-pasted stuff. I type it all up in an email, add a nice picture of the cards I drew, and send it off.

First Few Customers!

I was SO nervous when I got my first order. Like, butterflies-in-my-stomach nervous. But it went really well! The person loved the reading, said it was super insightful. That felt amazing.

I’ve had a few more orders since then. It’s still a small operation, but it’s growing. And honestly, it’s just… fun. I love connecting with people this way, and the cards are just so fascinating.

So it’s still very early, but I love doing it. I think that my little three-card tarot new age store is really something I enjoy, and I hope I can keep it going, and maybe one day, expand to include other things.
