Okay, so I’ve been messing around with tarot cards for a while, and the Ace of Swords always gets me thinking about when things will happen. It’s all about new beginnings, breakthroughs, and mental clarity, but pinning down a specific timeframe? That’s tricky. So, I decided to do a little experiment and track my own readings.
My Little Experiment
First, I cleared my space. I mean, I literally just tidied up my desk, lit a candle(because why not?), and shuffled my deck. I’m not super strict about rituals, but I like to have a focused vibe.
I then focused on a specific question: “When will I see progress on my writing project?” I’ve been feeling stuck, so the Ace of Swords felt relevant. I pulled the Ace of Swords (naturally!), and then I drew a few clarifying cards to see if they could give me more clues about timing.

- Clarifying Card 1: The Three of Pentacles. This usually means teamwork and collaboration, so I figured maybe progress would come when I connected with other writers.
- Clarifying Card 2: The Chariot. Okay, this one screams “get moving!” It’s about willpower and taking action. So maybe the timing was dependent on me actually, you know, doing something.
- Clarifying Card 3: The Eight of Wands, This card felt fast almost instantly, like within days!
Putting it to the Test
Based on these cards, I decided to do two things: I reached out to a writing group I’d been meaning to join, and I committed to writing at least 500 words a day, no matter what. It felt like a good way to honor the energy of the cards.
The Results (So Far)
It’s only been a week, but things are actually happening! I attended my first writing group meeting, and it was amazing! I got some great feedback, and it instantly re-energized my project. Plus, sticking to my daily word count, even when I felt uninspired, has helped me push through the block. So it does seem fast, a week is not that long!
So, my takeaway from this little experiment? The Ace of Swords, for me at least, seems to indicate a relatively quick timeframe, especially when combined with action-oriented cards. It’s not about sitting around waiting for something to happen; it’s about seizing the moment and making it happen. Of course, this is just my experience, and your mileage may vary. But it’s definitely encouraged me to keep tracking and learning!
