Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at setting clear intentions, you know? Like, actually manifesting what I want. I’ve been reading about using tarot cards for this, and I decided to give it a shot with the Two of Pentacles.
I started by just getting quiet. I lit a candle, put on some chill music – the whole nine yards. I needed to get out of my head and into a more, like, receptive space. Then, I pulled out my tarot deck.
My Two of Pentacles Experiment
I shuffled the deck, focusing on the idea of “balance” and “juggling priorities.” That’s what the Two of Pentacles is all about, right? Managing multiple things at once. I’m notoriously bad at that – I tend to get overwhelmed and then just…do nothing.

So, I drew the card, and yep, it was the Two of Pentacles. Perfect!
I spent some time just looking at the card. I mean, really looking at it. The guy juggling the pentacles, the infinity symbol, the ships in the background. I tried to imagine myself as that guy, successfully handling all the things life throws at me.
Then, I wrote down my intentions. Instead of just vague wishes, I tried to be super specific. I wrote things like:
- “I will successfully manage my work deadlines, my personal projects, and my social life this week.”
- “I will find a balance between taking action and allowing things to unfold naturally.”
- “I will remain adaptable and flexible when unexpected challenges arise.”
- “I will stay centered and grounded, even when things feel chaotic, focusing on one ball at a time.”
I kept the card out on my desk where I could see it all day. It was a good visual reminder of what I was working towards. When things start to get really wild, looking at that dude gracefully handling his stuff, reminds me that I too, can handle the ups and downs.
It’s not magic, obviously. I still had to, you know, do the work. I still use my planner and to-do list. But the Two of Pentacles helped me stay focused on the feeling of balanced action. I visualized successfully juggling my priorities, remaining calm and centered, and adapting to changing circumstances. And I found that I am less easily to get overwhelmed by the multiple demands on my time and energy, keep the ball rolling!
I’m still learning, but I think this Two of Pentacles intention-setting thing has some serious potential. It is all about the consistence. I will definitely keep experimenting with it!
