Okay, so today I decided to dive into something a bit different – the 7 of Swords card from the Tarot. I’ve been curious about Tarot for a while, and I figured, why not try to understand it better through a little hands-on experience?
Getting Started
First, I grabbed my Tarot deck. It’s a pretty standard Rider-Waite deck. I shuffled the cards, thinking about, well, nothing specific, really. Just trying to clear my head. Then I spread them out face down on my table.
The Draw
I hovered my hand over the cards, trying to “feel” something. I don’t know if that’s how it really works, but I figured I’d give it a shot. I picked a card, and boom – it’s the 7 of Swords.

My First Impressions
Honestly, my first thought was, “Sneaky dude!” The card shows a guy tiptoeing away with a bunch of swords, looking all guilty. It definitely felt like something shady was going on.
Digging Deeper
I spent some time just looking at the card. I noticed the background – a military camp, maybe? And the guy is only taking some of the swords, leaving a couple behind. I started to think, maybe he’s not just stealing; maybe he’s being strategic, or maybe he’s overwhelmed and can only carry so much.
- Observation 1: The guy looks sneaky.
- Observation 2: He’s leaving some swords behind.
- Observation 3: The background looks like a camp.
Reflecting on it all
After sitting with the card for a while, it made, well, think. Maybe it’s not always about outright theft or deception. Maybe, it represented to me, those times when you have to be clever, or when you can’t tackle everything at once. You take what you can handle and leave the rest for later. It felt like a reminder that sometimes, a direct approach isn’t the best one. And maybe, sometimes you will fail at it.
That’s my little experiment with the 7 of Swords. It’s just my personal take, of course. Tarot’s pretty open to interpretation, I’m realizing. I can see the result on the card, doesn’t mean it is that way, and just be on the reverse, so I can have a totally different point of view of it.
