Okay, so the other day I kept seeing the number 3877 everywhere. Like, on license plates, receipts, even the time on my microwave. It felt like more than just a coincidence, you know?
So, I started to get curious. I’ve always been a little intrigued by angel numbers – the idea that the universe sends you messages through repeating number sequences. I’d never really done anything about it before, though. This time felt different.
My Little Experiment Begins
First, I did what anyone would do – I googled it. “3877 angel number” I typed, fingers crossed, hoping for some kind of earth-shattering revelation. I read through a bunch of different interpretations, some felt related to me, others, not so much, they all kinda related somehow.
I decided to take things a step further. I grabbed my old, dusty journal – the one I bought with good intentions but rarely use – and started to just… write. I wrote down every time I saw 3877, and what I was doing or thinking about at that moment.
- Monday: Saw 3877 on a bus ticket while I was stressing about a work deadline.
- Tuesday: The total on my grocery bill was $38.77. I was feeling pretty good that day, actually, had a nice chat with the cashier.
- Wednesday: Woke up at 3:38 am (close enough, right?). I’d had a weird dream about…I can’t even remember now, something about a talking dog.
I kept this up for about a week. Honestly, at first, it felt a bit silly. Like I was trying too hard to find meaning where there was none.

But the more I paid attention, the more I started to notice patterns. Not necessarily in the number itself, but in my own thoughts and feelings. The days I saw 3877 more frequently were often days when I was either really anxious or really… open. Like, open to new possibilities, new ideas.
And that google search? It kept coming back to the themes of “trusting your intuition” and “embracing change.” I had been feeling it, at a crossroads in my life, unsure of which direction to take, if at all. And here I was, seeing this number everywhere, basically being told to “go with the flow”! And I was journaling about my feelings for the first time.
So, I decided to lean into it. I started saying “yes” to things I’d normally say “no” to. A spontaneous weekend trip? Sure. A new project at work that felt a little out of my comfort zone? Why not.
I can’t say that seeing 3877 magically solved all my problems. But it did something even better: it pushed me to pay more attention to my inner voice, to take some risks, and to, just be present.
Now I still write, even when I don’t see the number. I listen to myself, and even have taken steps towards things I put off.
