The Hierophant How Someone Sees You: Discover the Real Meaning in Relationships

Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “how someone sees you” tarot thing pop up all over my socials, and I got curious. I’m no tarot expert, but I do have a deck I mess around with sometimes. Today, I decided to give this a try, focusing on The Hierophant card. My question? How does, let’s say… my online audience see me?

First, I grabbed my trusty tarot deck – it’s a Rider-Waite deck, nothing fancy. I shuffled the cards while thinking about my online presence, my blog, and all of you guys. It’s a bit weird to think about, to be honest. I mostly just ramble about my projects, hoping someone finds them interesting or useful.

I cut the deck, and then I laid out just one card face down. It’s The Hierophant that’s supposed to give insight into this whole “how someone sees you” thing, so that is only card I cared to use.

Then, I flipped the card over… and it was, of course, The Hierophant.

My First Impressions

  • Tradition: The Hierophant is all about established ways of doing things, right? Maybe people see me as someone who sticks to the ‘rules’ of… blogging? Or maybe sharing the common methods, not totally reinventing the wheel?
  • Structure: He’s sitting there on his throne, super organized. Do I come across as organized? I try to be, with my project logs and all that…
  • Guidance: He’s like a teacher or mentor figure. I definitely try to be helpful, sharing what I learn. Maybe people see me as someone who provides guidance, even in a small way?

Digging a Little Deeper (aka, My Overthinking)

I am, admittedly, an over-thinker, and like to examine the whole thing. The details are what give the full picture.

  • The card has those keys at the bottom – unlocking knowledge? I like that idea. Maybe people see me as someone who helps them ‘unlock’ solutions to their own projects, or understand things a bit better.
  • He’s wearing those elaborate robes – representing authority? I hope I don’t come across as a know-it-all! I’m just sharing my journey, not claiming to be some guru. I mean, some things, sure. But not everything.
  • There are those two followers at his feet – are they learning from him? Maybe that represents you guys, reading my posts and, hopefully, getting something out of them.

My Conclusion (For Now)

Honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. I think, based on The Hierophant, people might see me as someone who is knowledgeable (in a specific area), structured, and maybe even a bit of a guide. I’m trying to share what I learn, in a way that’s hopefully clear and helpful, sticking to some sort of format (the blog!).

But it also makes me think – do I come across as too traditional? Too rigid? Should I shake things up a bit? It’s something to ponder. Maybe I’ll pull another card to see what I can do to improve how I’m perceived… but that’s for another day, another blog post. I’ll probably be making coffee, or something, before tackling that question.
